Cutters Document Destruction was created by Reggie Heywood who was born and raised in nearby Mesa, AZ. He went to Mesa High School and after graduation attended Mesa Community College where he met his wife, Lisa. With more than 25 years of business management experience, Reggie learned the importance of document destruction. He knew there was a need for a local shredding company that has affordable prices and better service, so he created Cutters Document Destruction. Cutters is part of the Mesa Chamber of Commerce and contributes to charities like “Food for the Hungry” and “A New Leaf”.

Named after its founder, Winfield Scott, Scottsdale was incorporated in 1951 with only 2,000 people. According to the census in 2015, the city now has a population of nearly 250,000 and is considered “the desert version of South Beach.” The slogan for the city is “The West’s Most Western Town” and has a very active nightlife and party scene.

Located just east of Phoenix, Scottsdale has the same warm and dry client with the average temperature in July being around 104°F and a yearly average of almost 78°F.  With the warm weather and roughly 315 sunny days every year, Scottsdale is the ideal location for many outdoor activities.

Scottsdale is an ideal location when looking for entertainment. With a nearly endless list of parks, trails, landmarks and shopping centers, it can be overwhelming to choose just a few. Early development of Scottsdale began in the 1880s when Chaplain Winfield Scott visited the area and recognized its potential for agricultural growth. He purchased more than 600 acres of land which is now downtown Scottsdale. Him and his brother, George Washington Scott, were the first official residents of the town.  

The population of Scottsdale saw a significant growth in population between 1908 and 1933 when the Roosevelt and Granite Reef dams were being built. Since 1993, the city of Scottsdale has many times been considered one of the nation’s most desirable communities to live in.
